Becoming a member of Alpha Phi Omega begins with learning about our values, history, and commitment to leadership, friendship, and service.

Step 1: Become a Pledge Member

To begin your journey in Alpha Phi Omega, you must:

  • Attend New Member Education meetings

  • Complete the membership application process

  • Pay the $55 Pledge Fee

Step 2: Complete Membership Requirements

To be eligible for initiation and brotherhood, pledge members must complete the following requirements:

Service

  • Complete 8 Service Hours

Fellowship

  • Attend 3 Fellowship Events

Leadership

  • Attend 2 Leadership Events

Chapter Involvement

  • Participate on at least one committee

These requirements are designed to help members actively engage with the chapter while experiencing APO's three cardinal principles.

Step 3: Initiation & Brotherhood

After completing all membership requirements, members must:

  • Pay the $50 Initiation Fee

  • Participate in the chapter's initiation process

Upon successful completion, members will become Brothers of Alpha Phi Omega and join the founding legacy of APO at FGCU.
